The Law Offices of Charles W. Kranstuber, LPA, has advocated for injured workers in Ohio since 1982. We bring a personal approach to working with clients that is especially important for individuals who are hurting and unable to collect a paycheck.

Our firm works directly with clients from the initial consultation through the resolution of the case. We emphasize clear communication and are accessible and highly responsive to our clients. Given the complexities of the Ohio’s workers’ compensation benefits process, it is comforting to work with lawyers who can explain things clearly and ensure that every client understands his or her options fully.

Charles W. Kranstuber founded the firm in 2006 after having worked for both the Ohio Industrial Commission and two other law firms. He is a graduate of the Ohio State University, where he received a bachelor of arts in political science. He received his law degree from the University of San Diego in 1979. Charles is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, the Columbus Bar Association and the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers.

Charles has experience with workers’ compensation cases from both sides. Upon graduation from the University of San Diego, he was employed by the Ohio Industrial Commission as a district hearing officer. The Industrial Commission is the state agency that handles the adjudication of contested matters in the workers’ compensation system.

In 2006, Charles was appointed by the governor as the injured workers’ representative to the Workers’ Compensation Oversight Commission, which was responsible for the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation. The Oversight Commission’s duties included making recommendations regarding premium rates and investments, and setting the rules and policies of the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation.

Charles has also been active in politics and local government. He served for 12 years as a Dublin City Councilman and also served for six years as the mayor of Dublin. For full details on Charles’ work experience and education, see Charles profile.

We are proud to announce that Carley Kranstuber has also joined our firm. Carley is a graduate of the Ohio State University and Capital University Law School. Her areas of practice focus on Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability/Supplemental Security Income.
